Semi loose table, just sat down for about 2 rounds.
I'm in BB with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG+1 limps (average player who seems to be having a bad session tilt?) folded to sb who completes flop 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet villain calls sb folds Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, villain calls. River K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, villain bets, I check raise. Thoughts? |

His line really looks like [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]'s short of the fact he never raised on the flop/turn. I don't exactly know what he wakes up with here and bets but I guess the c/r isn't terrible if he can fold some hands that beat you like 66-99. The more I think about it I can't put him on a hand. Really bizzare, already can't wait for results of this one.

I suppose he could have KcQc or KcJc, or a missed draw and thinks a bet will get you to lay down. I'm not sure I like the check raise, although luckychewy makes a good point about it getting him to lay down some medium strength hands that could beat you.

I'd rather checkraise the turn than the river. You have some fold equity (there or with a river follow through) and a great chance to draw out if he continues. When you checkraise the river, I don't think he'll fold any pair he decided to bet - and he probably would have just checked behind with ace high. So yes, your play might fold something like KQ that he would poss bluff with, but a bet would have also and with less risk. Just my take - it's ok as a changeup once in awhile.
