Re: New to 10/20...Loose aggressive game...AA hand
if it were a tight game, then maybe limp reraise from UTG but in a loose aggressive game, you don't need to worry about folding it around with your UTG raise, so raise it and hope to get 3 bet and then cap. I just think limp reraises are too much of a telegraph of your hand

I just think limp reraises are too much of a telegraph of your hand [/ QUOTE ] You limp reraise with more than just AA. Many on UB also tend to marry their pairs(even small pairs) and call all the way hoping to god you only have AK. Fun as hell to watch. Pertains more to the UB 5-10 and 10-20 full game: Opponents will slow down a bit when you limp after a few of those. In alot of these UB games, alot of players like to raise behind to isolate limpers(more-so in the full game). The flops are usually seen for 2 bets. It's rare to get a free play in the BB. They don't 3 bet as often especially if they think you're a tighter player. They tend to coldcall an EP raise then try a move on the flop if no A or K hits. It's almost like clockwork how they do it. Limp, and these same guys are now raising to isolate you. b |

I wouldn't have bet that turn.. but I don't have an enormous problem with it. When the BB checkraises the field AGAIN on the turn though, I'm going to say you have at most 2 outs and should fold. (To the raise on the turn. If you've somehow made it to this point on the river, fold again..) [/ QUOTE ] Worst fold ever. At _most_ 2 outs? You almost always have at LEAST two outs. Often 4, if you're up against a straight. And occasionally you're ahead of everyone. You're getting ALMOST enough with implied odds to call the turn even if you know that you're drawing to 2 and only 2 outs. |
