You don't think these players were communicating?

[/ QUOTE ]I dont dought there friends, partner what ever but if there communicating or r any real threat in colluding buddy woulda bet those quads ,and since hes the low stack why not pay ur friend off that would hav told me they were communicating. p.s for the record i hav never cheated and firmly believe its rampant on the net but that said if im in a tourney final table im not eliminating my friend with a monster. If he wants to hang himself so b it he bets i will call all the way . I dont think that is collution.

There are no "friends" at a poker table..only combatants!

If I'm at the table with my mom, and I get quads...she's going down!

This is really blatant. Sad thing is I read it as an $11 also, and the playing sadly looked pretty standard. But this is ridiculous. I hope you get your money.

You should get the whole prizepool, as they shouldnt get anything b/c they are cheats.

My property law professor had worked at the District Attorney's office prior to teaching. He said one of the most common lines he used in court was "Your honor, we don't catch the smart ones."

Bump for the Stars update. I got an email from PokerStars Support, and they only refunded my buy-in. I'm not so fund about the reply. It seems very iffy to say that they did that out of ignorance and not in intention of cheating.

I don't really feel like fighting it, so I'll let it slide. Here's the reply, feel free to discuss.

Hello Yuv21,

Thank you once again for reporting your concerns to us. Although we do
monitor the games for collusion, we always appreciate vigilant players
such as yourself reporting any strange or unusual play to us for review. I
have completed my investigation into the accounts of amahussla and
nismo_sd.

We have carefully reviewed tournament #22879556 with all cards face up.
We determined that the players are acquainted and tend to avoid
confrontation. As the outcome of this event may have been affected by
their play, we have decided to refund the entry fee to all players.

Your account has been credited with $119.00.

Although these players did violate our tournament rules, it appears this
was done more out of ignorance of proper tournament etiquette rather than
a malicious desire to cheat. We have educated the players on these rules
available here:

http://www.pokerstars.com/tournamentsrules.html

As a further precaution, we have also flagged their accounts so that they
cannot play together in real money ring games and Sit and Go tournaments.

Thank you once again for helping us keep our games honest and fair.

Regards,

Patrick K.
PokerStars Support Team

well, I think they refunded everyone that played, so thats fair. Also, those guys were really dumb, so keeping their money around might be, eh, a good thing, donno.

I'm very concerned about this reply.

I have a lot of faith in PokerStars teams judgement, and I get the feeling Patrick K. is not ruling in line with Stars' general policy here. His comment

more out of ignorance of proper tournament etiquette rather than a malicious desire to cheat

[/ QUOTE ]simply cant be applied to the two hoodlums play in your final hand:
[ QUOTE ]

nismo_sd: raises 200 to 400
amahussla: calls 300
Yuv21: raises 1888 to 2288 and is all-in
nismo_sd: calls 1888
amahussla: calls 1888
*** FLOP *** [Ac Kd 2h]
amahussla: checks
nismo_sd: checks
*** TURN *** [Ac Kd 2h] [4c]
amahussla: checks
nismo_sd: checks
*** RIVER *** [Ac Kd 2h 4c] [Ks]
amahussla: checks
nismo_sd: checks
*** SHOW DOWN ***
amahussla: shows [4s 2c] (two pair, Kings and Fours)
Yuv21: mucks hand
nismo_sd: shows [Ah Tc] (two pair, Aces and Kings)

[/ QUOTE ]
I see no way of understanding the play in this hand except from the perspective of collusion.

These players are obviously blatant cheaters, and the fact that they are too stupid do understand the need to camouflage their cheating does not redeem them.

They are a threat to the poker community, and they should have every penny in their accounts confiscated and be banned for good.

Best,

McMelchior (Johan)
