Default Fish Street Poker Busted

Fish Street on L.I. was busted Friday night around 8:45pm. Does anyone have any info about the raid or what happened to the dealers?

Hi,

I sent you a PM requesting info but I'm not sure it went thru. I've had problems in the past sending PMs.

There's nothing in the papers about the raid.

Bill - I didn't get your PM. From what I've heard at other clubs it was an FBI raid. I don't have many other details other than that they arrested the dealers.

Sounds like a Sopranos episode or something. (from a west coast perspective)

This is second hand but, what I heard was that at his court date on another bust, the owner claimed that he was not involation of NYS Gambling law because he had not profited from the poker games. He then produced some charity receipts and claimed that he'd taken all his profits and donated them. This trigers a Federal Tax Evasion/Money Laundering investegation and possible RICO case.

Christ. I posted about this place awhile back asking if anyone played there.

Wonder if I raised the red flag.

I doubt it, they had a web site up with thier address and phone number on it. They were open 7 days a week and usually had 5 tables going all the time, it wasn't the most discreet operation.

not sure of the validity of this, but i've heard that the best time to be up and running is right after a bust. i understand that this makes no sense, but know a couple guys that run private clubs and they have said this.
