Sum 41, Chumbawamba, Twisted Sister
These have been said, but they are so horrible, I'll mention them again: Hoobastank, Goo Goo Dolls, any ska band with "ska" in the name. |

Any band name that starts with a gerund. [/ QUOTE ] LOL. There are a million of these too, and they're all terrible bands. Taking Back Sunday and Breaking Benjamin off the top of my head. Crap, almost forgot about Burning Airlines. They were actually cool. |

[/ QUOTE ] Ok, two ska band names I kind of like, plus one name that sucks: Skagina Skonorrhea and the Burning Sensations Puddle of Mudd |

When they picked the name, anthrax was a much more obsure disease than it is now since this well before that stupid "anthrax scare" with the powder in the envelopes and all the talk of it with regards to biological weapons and so forth. It didn't seem then as stupid as it does now. I also appreicated during the anthrax scare when Scott Ian started stockpiling anthrax vaccine and explained his reason as "I refuse to die an ironic death". [/ QUOTE ] I also heard that after the anthrax scare the band was going to change their name to Basket Full of Puppies or something similar. |

U2: You named your band after an American surveillance plane that got shot down? [/ QUOTE ] Actually, I think U2 is named after the Irish unemployment form or something like that. |

I always thought Jethro Tull was an awful-sounding name.
And Death Cab for Cutie falls into that "love the music, hate the name" category. |
