Corey Zeidman? Isn't that the guy who slowrolled Jen Harman in the WSOP with the straight flush? Is he actually any good, or is he just in for exactly this reason? [/ QUOTE ] From what I remember of that episode, the way Jen talked to Corey it sounds like they had some sort of history. I'd take that to mean he's been playing high limit (tournaments, at least) more than occasionally. But I could be totally wrong. |

Re: Players for High Stakes Poker Second Season Announced
I've read through this about five times, and I still can't believe that there's no Hellmuth. I'll miss Greenstein and Forrest, and would like to see Ivey, but this is a television program, whose goal is entertainment, and Hellmuth was the most entertaining player they had.

Re: Players for High Stakes Poker Second Season Announced
this list kind of frustrates me. i would have liked to see Freddy Deeb back, hes entertaining to me and definitely was one of the best players in the first season. losing Ted Forrest also kind of sucks, hes a tremendous player.
some names id care not to see: mimi tran, fred chaminara, shaun sheikhan, todd brunson names im happy to see added: the grinder, matusow, minh ly, erick lindgren names id wish werent added: cory zeidman, amnon filippi, phil laak names I want to still see: phil Ivey, john d'agostiono, joe cassidy |

Re: Players for High Stakes Poker Second Season Announced
I'm certainly not going to be picky about who is going to be playing. Just about any lineup is better than watching that other crap (Poker Superstars III, WPT and most of the WSOP).

negreanu considers laak to be one of the overrated players including dutch boyd. laak and antonio tho came up destroying the high NL games at the bay. i don't think laak is that bad but he has a lot fame for someone who hasn't won anything significant. [/ QUOTE ] I might be wrong but I think he was talking about his tournament game. |

[/ QUOTE ] Link [/ QUOTE ] the relevant part of the link: [ QUOTE ] as for the jumping around and shadow boxing thing, i definately think he was trying to play it up for the cameras in the hopes of making a name for himself, which he did. at the tables he is always a good sport. he's a real quality individual and if he wasn't so damn good at poker i would say its a pleasure to play with him.
