QQ: No pot is big enough
This is a lively game at the local casino. People are chatting and being friendly, with lots of good natured joking around. It's also more aggressive than a typical live game around here, often being 2 or 3 bets before the flop, and with later street raises not as uncommon either. It has its passive spots still though, including the PFR in this hand. He has raised preflop before, but limped KK and played it passively on a ragged board.
This is a kill hand, and the killer is a bit of a LAG. Not the sort you'd see online, but more aggressive than a typical 3/6 player. I saw him bluff once when the time seemed right, and while he's too loose pre and post flop he's still one of the better players in the game. The preflop capper loves to LRR - I've seen him do it three times in the hour and a half I'd been at the table, and it means a decent but not necessarily premium hand. Re: QQ: No pot is big enough
Just call. Probably beat, just hope he is doing this w/ a flush or worse.

Re: QQ: No pot is big enough
Jc9c = 1 way
AcJc = 1 way KK = 3 ways AA = 1 way AK = 6 ways AQ = 2 ways The bulk of these would be raised at some point preflop by this dude, right? He called all bets preflop, although he really only had 1 chance to 3-bet preflop. All other possible hands you beat. Any flush except the two straight flushes. AT = 6 ways AcXc = 8 ways You simply called the flop with middle set.. not sure how I feel about 3-betting a river c/r and calling a cap. But calling seems weak, and it looks close either way. |

Re: QQ: No pot is big enough
Raise the flop.
This player didn't have a hand that could beat a straight on the turn but when the river paires the ace he has. Which must mean he have AK/AQ/AT/AA/KK/TT. Given his preflop play AA/KK/AK seems unreasonable. AQ/AT: 6 combos TT: 3 combos He might 3-bet AQ/TT preflop. I think calling is fine, somewhat depending on how laggy he is. |

[ QUOTE ]
Raise the flop. [/ QUOTE ] I was planning to bring the hammer down on the turn because it was effectively headsup. Why would I rather 3-bet the flop? |

Re: QQ: No pot is big enough
YOu have to raise this flop, you have a strong hand, but on that scary board, it is very vulnerable. And with the players you describe you are goignt o get action with your flop raise, there is no need to wait til the turn here, push it hard when you have the best of it.
Im calling this river. |

Re: QQ: No pot is big enough
Mt. Pleasant massacre! Raise the flop, call the river. My read is killer has ace of clubs, with rags.
