Default **BOUNTY**

If this with the bot hunting account turns out to be true then then the site in my view should reward Davey, Lori, and Ilya a large sum of $'s as a reward.
If they cannot or won't find competant people to deal with this kind of stuff then reward the people that do.
Not a thank you for bringing this to our attention. This takes work and work should be rewarded.
In fact, it should be a general policy, a BOUNTY to anyone finding colluders or bots.
This would speed up the process of detection.

They absolutely deserve, a great job by all of them.

It is also important to remember that their work just easens the symptoms, not cure the disease. One of these guys can sell the software to somebody else etc.. The pressure should be on Party to get to a decent security level. That would cure the disease.

This was discussed in the ZJ thread, and the conclusion was that this would actually slow down the process of detection.

This would never work because people would start making wild accusations based on little or no evidence in an attempt to claim the reward.

Party would not want bounty hunters exposing fraudalent activities. But we as players should not have to do their work for them. What I am saying with this bounty will put pressure on party.
100,000 was consficated from a player recently for acting improperly or cheating or whatever. The person who exposed him should have got rewarded with part of that money. Now we have this scene with bots running around the 22's and 33's and the players themselves have found this out.Well they should be rewarded.Believe me this is pressure on party.

protocol,

If players would demand a reward, party would get off their backsides.
Security is the biggest issue of would be on line customers.
We cannot have this that players themselves are spotting the cheats.

This happens live too. I ran a poker room for several years, and I've caught cheats and I've also had players point out cheats to me. It happens...don't say it can't. As a matter of fact, it's EASIER for a player to see cheating than it is for the house.

Our House,

What you say is 100% true. The house though in a live game and the house of an internet site is completely different.
Many more means to detect.Of course their are many more ways to cheat. But how much profit is party making not to employ staff that would detect this before the players do themselves.

Maybe the problem is that the bots pay rake just like everybody else. Even so the trust they lose by not addressing the issue more aggesively is not worth it.

Just a thought...

They could also use registered bounty hunters. Registration would make clear that cheat claims have to be backed by hand histories, logs and whatever. Also, it would make clear that you get a bounty only if you do not publicly disclose the claim.

Party would determine if a claim was justified, inconclusive or ridiculous. Once you put in 2 ridiculous claims you are fired. You get the bounty if your claim was justified.

If the bounty hunter feels cheated he can still turn to the fora.
