In my opinion, it isn't worth the risk

If you're giving up +EV because "it isn't worth the risk", then you're playing scared. Go back down a level until you're not scared anymore and then move up. Lots of people have this problem when they move up. There's no shame in going back down to polish up your game.

Just did a quick check in my PT database (35K hands). This includes a lot of .02/.04 and .05/.10 play where I was a very loose. There are NO blinds in these figures.

K9s - 87 times - 20.69 win % (this I do play)
K8s - 81 times - 9.88 win %

All the rest are at 5% or below on win%

Comparing this to my A9s and below hands, no blinds again:
A9 - 82 - 30.49%
A8 - 105 - 24.76%
A7 - 85 - 23.53
A6 - 63 - 19.05
A5 - 69 - 11.59
A4 - 71 - 21.13
A3 - 76 - 22.37
A2 - 84 - 17.86

I don't think staying away from low Kxs hands is giving up +EV for me.

Low Kxs hands are speculative hands....the percent of time won isn't so important as the amount won...(primarily when you hit the flush).....If you have lots of limpers, a passive table, and late position, they are great hands....unfortunately I can't find many such tables where I'm playing

My response wasn't primarily about your playing Kxs or not. That's not a big leak anyway. My response was mainly about your comment "it's not worth the risk". That comment implies that you've got risk on the mind when you're playing some hands. You're worried about losing money in the short run, when you should be only thinking about the long run. It's a common psychological trigger, especially when moving up in limits. Don't think about whether something is risky or not... just play it the way you're supposed to play it and in the long run, you'll be +EV.
