Profitability of posting SB/BB in CO
Some time ago I think there was a discussion about the profitability of sitting out your small and big blinds and posted them (SB dead, of course) in the cuttoff. I think the conclusion was that it's a very close but just profitable thing to do. Of course, you'll draw the fire of your opponents if you actually tried it.
Doe anyone remember that discussion? The topic came up in the beginner's forum this past week, and I can't find the link to that old thread. It's entirely possible I'm hallucinating, of course. Regards, T |

Re: Profitability of posting SB/BB in CO
It isnt profitable because you have to skip the button.
And because you will piss everyone off. |

All this is discussed in the thread, which is why I'm looking for it.

Re: Profitability of posting SB/BB in CO
It's not that skipping your blinds and then posting SB+BB is profitable, it's that posting in for your first hand at the table from the cut off (for just the BB) is profitable compared to posting in from any other position. It's so close to posting in from standard BB position that it's negligible.

There's no question that posting in the CO when you first sit is the right thing to do. Regards, T |

In fact, posting in the hijack is about even money to waiting for me. Interestingly, almost no TAGs post even in the CO, at least in the games I play. |

Re: Profitability of posting SB/BB in CO
I only sometimes post in the CO online only because I am multi-tabling. When I just sign on, I am looking to hop onto a bunch of tables and usually just click wait for BB and don't worry about it. If I have the time or am playing live, I always post in the CO.
