Tell Me About Carson City
Im moving there, well actually to Gardnerville, at the end of the month to deal poker. I have family living there that deal and got me the hookup, but I havent actually been there in a few years (not since 21).
I looked up the population and its pretty small, how many tourists are in that area? The heart of this question is how many girls are around here? I want to prowl around casinos looking for girls to pick up on when Im not working, do you think Carson has enough tourists and natives to keep me from running out of new girls after a few weeks? |

Re: Tell Me About Carson City
This place SUCKS. I drove through Gardnerville on my way too Tahoe and it's disturbing. About 75 scattered buildings with NO trees, and barren landscape at the bottom of the mountains. It's basically in a valley. It's ultimately boring. However, Tahoe is about 15 miles away.

Re: Tell Me About Carson City
My Grandpa lives in Gardnerville. It sucks ass. It's alright visiting but damn I would never want to live there. Your only hope is to make frequent trips to Tahoe and/or Reno.

Re: Tell Me About Carson City
It's rural/shitkicker pretty much - I would assume that you are going to be dealing at the Carson Valley Inn, which is the only "nice" gaming facility in the area - smoky and pretty much of a grind joint, although I hear the steakhouse isn't bad.
I would suspect the nightlife is pretty sparse - tahoe isn't too far away, Carson City (to me) is worse than Gardnerville - dirty, redneck, and the cops are evil. And it's still like a very small town - if you go out with locals, you'll burn thru them and be known to all within a couple of months, and the average tourist visiting CC is probably on social security. Reno is actually pretty nice, especially if you have enough money to enjoy it - housing is almost as bad as the bay area. Your best move is to get a job dealing either in Reno or at the Lake asap, IMHO..... MM MD - been living in Reno for 15 yrs. |
