Re: Folding top 2p?
Holy Action Batman!
Folding here at a LIVE 1/2 takes a big read, and with none given, I have to call - the pot's now $400 and you have to put $80 more in - you can't fold even if you know one of them has 77 as you're getting perfect odds (5:1) to draw to a 6 outter (4:1) Edit: Calling $15 preflop was probably a mistake, but I think you're up against AJ and QQ/KK/AA more often then you're up against a set |

Re: Folding top 2p?
Even if they have exactly 77 and 98, you're still less than a 4:1 dog. The chances of SB having JJ or TT are minuscule. Never fold top 2 getting 6:1 on your money. Honestly.
I'd fold pf to the huge raise by SB, and I'd just push the flop when it got to me. Minraise sucks. |

Re: Folding top 2p?
He put in a pot sized raise...are you suggesting a push?
I like the way it played. In these games, I like the preflop call, and I am a tight - nitty - weaky. Margon |

Re: Folding top 2p?
I fold this UTG, but no problems calling the raise.
Why wouldn't you call? Even if you're behind, you have outs, its $80 into an enormous pot, and it essentially closes the action for the rest of the hand. |

Re: Folding top 2p?
With this being live, I assume this was the standard PF raise for the table and with that Im OK with staying in PF. On the flop I poosh.

Re: Folding top 2p?
I think you have to play this hand through to the end. I mean calling $15 preflop with JTs, other than flopping the open-ended straight flush draw or the super-rare full house, top two pair seems like the best you can hope for. Now you're considering laying it down getting those odds?
