No, I'd play online still. What are they going to do? Come arrest me for playing online poker? Yeah right...like that's a top government priority. It'll be as important as catching people buying pot in this state (WA). It's not like there aren't enough little card rooms around here anyway.

i only voted yes because the way the question was phrased it asked if it was IMPOSSIBLE to play in the u.S. would you leave. if thats the case i have to leave, but since that is next to impossible....Im not leaving...You are right about less fish though, if you kill 80% of the market there aint gonna be enough fish to go around

Some people confuse federal and state law when it comes to this issue.

While it's true there's some ambiguity about federal law, your state almost certainly does prohibit it.

What's wrong with emigrating so that you can continue your profession?

If poker is illigal in the states, a whole different mentalitiy on the game will appear. I think the mentality will be similat as to what it was years ago. Where, if theirs a sucker theirs a game type of deal. A large emphasis on game selection and player selection will appear.

Personally I think its going to be quite bad but different and still affordable nonetheless.
