Classic arcade game Tapper

Hi. Long time lurker, first post. This might be the worst first post ever for a new member, but I don't care.

Does anyone remember/used to play this game in the arcades? Was anyone nasty at this game? I'm playing it on Gametap.com and am trying to get the high score, but am not quite sure how to maximize the points. Any tips?

Yea move fast is all i recall I forgot how far i can make it i think there are aliens? or its in space , i forget its been along time. Guess Ill fire up MAME and see if I'mm still good at it.
On the PC is a little easier , use 2 hands turn you num lock off and use those arrows too

My highest score is 260,000 which was on the heals of the leader who had 280,000. He saw me creeping on him and made a 500+ thousand point run. Should I milk the bar tables or go as quick as possible? Should I collect all the tips?

I played Tapper on my Commodore 64 when I was a kid. fun game

they had the kids version - root beer tapper - played that a couple times
