How is this format for a MTT?
How is this format for a MTT?
The $500+50 WSOP Circuit Event #3 in Tunica has the format below. My question is: How is this format as far as “room for play”. Obviously it’s not the WSOP with $10k starting chips, but do the 50 minute levels give enough play despite the fairly steep blind and ante structure? I’ve gotten where I hate the local crap-shoot B&M tourneys, so I mostly play online – hence the question. I’m having to balance whether I play it or play the cash games at the same time. (Obviously this could have been posted in the “WPT & Televised Forum”, but my question has more to do with the MTT aspects.) Structure: T$1500 starting chips 50 minute levels Level Ante Small Blind Big Blind 1 $25 $25 2 $25 $50 Break 10 Min. 3 $50 $100 4 $100 $200 Break 10 Min. 5 $25 $100 $200 6 $25 $150 $300 Break 10 Min. 7 $50 $200 $400 8 $75 $300 $600 Break Race off $25 Chips 10 Min. 9 $100 $400 $800 10 $100 $500 $1,000 Break 10 Min. 11 $200 $500 $1,500 12 $300 $1,000 $2,000 Break 10 Min. 13 $400 $1,500 $3,000 Break Race off $100 Chips 10 Min. 14 $500 $2,000 $4,000 15 $500 $3,000 $6,000 Break Race off $500 Chips 10 Min. 16 $1,000 $4,000 $8,000 17 $1,000 $5,000 $10,000 Break 10 Min. 18 $2,000 $5,000 $15,000 19 $3,000 $10,000 $20,000 |

Re: How is this format for a MTT?
If I'm going to pay that much to play in a tournament, I'd like to start with at least 75-100 BB. I'm sure there are time constraints though.

Re: How is this format for a MTT?
Has anyone played a similar structure at any of the other WSOP Circuit events? Was it a crap-shoot or was there time to play?
