River play against loose villain
The table as a whole was pretty tight. Villain is not a great player, calling standards are fairly loose. He was calling down and drawing out on the rest of the table. Should I be making a bet on the river here?

Re: River play against loose villain
fold preflop.
A river value bet is a bit thin. |

Re: River play against loose villain
If you think he would call down to the river with just a jack or flush draw, then you can make a value bet. But I would probably just play it safe and check behind on the river and hope the ace is good. A pair of jacks is probably the only hand he will call on the river that you can beat.

Wanted to avoid playing a big pot with the small ace but since he was drawing much of the time against others, I didn't want to give a free card either. |

Fold preflop, bet more on the turn, river check behind looks goot.

Re: River play against loose villain
i check behind on the river...you are at best splitting with any ace, and are losing to a lot of hands. I'm not sure he calls with very many hands worse than yours.
