Re: Do you fold KK prelfop in this situation??
See the FAQ.
When you post in the small stakes NL forum about folding KK preflop, you will get responses from people who are convinced that it is never right to fold KK preflop because they encounter too many lunatics who will push with AT or 88. This does not necessarily apply to your game. The "move of honor," a massive overbet push, particularly with AA, is often effective against an UTG raiser in a full ring or someone who reraises. These players often have KK and are unable to fold. I'd fold in that situation if you mean UTG in a full ring game (and probably call in 6-max). The last few times I have called in a similar situation at NL $100 or above, my opponent had AA. That I am now willing to fold KK to a push does not mean it is a good idea to try to push me off the hands I raise UTG, since I will have AA often. |

Re: Do you fold KK prelfop in this situation??
The closest I ever was to fold KK pf was after I reraised a raiser, and an utg limper reraised all in and the original raiser called the all in. Effective stacks were 120BBs each.
First guy had KK, other had AA. |
