Q. Can I use my W$ to enter PokerStars cash satellites to the WSOP?

A. Absolutely.

Q. Can I accumulate W$11,000 and enter the WSOP final event directly?

A. No, you must either win the WSOP prize package through a satellite or if you are a Supernova VIP you may buy in directly with your Frequent Player Points.

Q: Can I buy into the televised WSOP preliminary events with my W$?

A:Yes, provided you are a SilverStar VIP.

I have tried them all...

$160 DS - made the FT a few times with little success. The first table seems easier to beat b/c there are a lot of players coming in from the $5 sats. The FT has had very strong players "read well known" the few times I have made it.

$33 Rebuy - Seems easier to beat if you willing to rebuy. I made the top 5 3 nights in a row for $650 each, but grabbing the 1st place has been elusive. I found the nights I played there were a lot of the $2 sat winners who were playing v tight week as they did not want to even rebuy once.

$650 Sunday I have played twice and also seems a reasonable way to go. I played too weak tight the 1st time and was out early as every hand someone was coming over the top. I played tight aggressive the 2nd time and went out 55 to 31 seats when everyone folded to me in the small blind and I went all-in w AK the BB turned over AA. I am registered to play this Sunday again.

For the $16 DS, I have been picking up a seat about 1 out of every 10 games (all 3 seats so far). So you should be able to bust through if you keep playing them.

There is a 100 seat game planned right before the ME, I see that as a good last chance if I have not picked one up by then...

If not, I will officially change my screen name to WSOP bubble boy...

GL all.

My Plan.

Play solely DSO's ($15+1) until the end of April, and unregister all seats to the $650 that I win. Also mix in 1-2 $150 DSO's for every 650 seat that I win. Once I have $2000+ W$ I can also start keeping a few seats and playing in the Sundays. I also am definately planning on playing the Super Sunday $370.

Status: I have played 30ish DSO's and have won 4 Seats to the $650. (Also several other final table cashes, not sure the amount right now.) I am likely just running hot right now, but I am close to 40-50% making it to the final table.

Best,

They include the 1500 events, 2k events, and 5k events leading up to the main event.

Here are all the events...

http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/2006wsop.asp

You will be able to buy into the ones prior to the ME if they are going to be televised. Stars says that once they hear from Harrahs which events they plan to televise, they will list them on their site (Stars). Usually it is a number of the $1,500, $2,500, $5,000 events.

Forgot the 1000 and 4000 FPP games...

These also tend to be very soft, but once again there is only 1 or 2 seats up for grabs. If you have the FPPs they are worth a shot as I have been to the FT a few times, just cannot secure the win. I like playing a lot of the 400 FPP sats and then using the the 4000 FPPs to play the 1k and 4k events.

There are a lot of free chips in the early rounds of these events, as too many players see them as a freeroll and do not take them serious at all. The play is pretty poor for the 1st 2 hours or so...

Good luck!
