Default Poker Version Without Bad Beats

Hi,

this post is to survey your opinion on a new poker version. Would you like to play No Limit Holdem which has the same rules, only with one difference.
When one player is allin and another calls, say on the flop, no more cards get dealt, but the player with the better hand wins.

Say, you have AA, go allin, the flop is KJ7 and another one calls you with KQ.

In this version, you win the whole pot, as you have the better hand.
An open question would be what should happen if one player has the better hand, the other has the better draw.

I would appreciate your comments. As you understand, this poker version would have much less frustration and the better players would win more often - or am I wrong?

Thanks

Wouldn't eliminate bad beats. In your example above, what if someone called you pre-flop with j-7 because they were sooooted and hit two pair on the flop. Still a bad beat.

I think this is pretty ridiculous. People willing to gamboool with top pair is what makes good poker players money. Eliminating the risk means eliminating the reward.

Every fish on every poker site would be busto in a month.

This would also encourage them to play better, as the hope of their miracle draw out would be done (alot of fish continue putting in money even knowing they are hopelessly behind, foolishly chasing their miracle)

All this would accomplish would be eliminating more of the post flop play. Now all the bad beats will just occur from people outdrawing you on the flop when you started with the best hand.

IMO NL holdem is nearly perfect as-is, so, yeah let's fix it when it isn't broken.

this post is so good... i think u made it to show that bad beats are a big side of the game... if the game would be like this... semi bluffs and draws wouldnt exist!! poker would be a game so suck.

Better idea--let's just play 2-card poker with one round of betting. What fun!!

Poker ain't worth playing unless you have players pursuing draws against their better judgment.
