Its a futurebet problem. A number of their sites are apparently being affected by this. Read the thread linked in this one to the PurePoker fiasco, and frozen withdraws are also occurring at Bayou.

Theoretically - and I mean *very* theoretically - if you played NL you could chip dump everything in one legitimate looking hand. This'd involve you playing a solid TAG game, waiting a few hours with both accounts until both got a big hand with the right one being better, then raising/reraising/etc. with AK v. KK or something equally normal looking.

The risk you take is the obvious one of a third player having the nuts, not to mention taking the chance of the wrong hand winning at showdown (because the other account will almost always have outs if you play this 'right') and being out more money. Oh yeah, and the whole 'playing 3 hours over your head' thing.

If this was a substantial part of my roll and I was sure the site was about to disappear, I might take that chance, but I would have to have no other way out. YMMV.

When it comes to OnGame networks, there are two different standards it seems. First there are those "skins" licensed directly by PokerRoom (PokerRoom, HoldemPoker, Hollywood Poker, Eurobet, Betsson, etc), then there is a bunch of rooms sublicensed by a company called Futurebet.

The problem is that Futurebet practically lets any donkey license a skin and are completely hands off. Thus quite a few of their licensees are troublesome. Some of them have defrauded many people over the years and are black listed by Casinomeister among others. The latest debacle involved a skin called PurePoker, which simply disappeared with everyone's money, and as far as I can tell has not paid anyone back anything.

See more here, and a list of Futurebet casinos and pokerrooms one should avoid is here.

Seeing that the e-mail you recieved is from "playersupport.com", the room you played on is a Futurebet licensee, because playersupport.com is their generic player support website.

Specifically regarding your complaint, I don't know what to tell you. Some people have been paid by Futurebet licensees after weeks/months of delay, others not. This however should be a public service announcement for people to be careful when playing on the OnGame network skins, and make sure that the skin is not a Futurebet licensee.

Fluff, thank you for this very informative reply, and the helpful links.

Try withdrawing a small amount. 200-400

I keep reading that these futurebet sites are giving problems with large withdrawals, while smaller ones are going through ok.

If you get one processed, start on the next.....

Small sites are a high risk to third parties, possibily they are more likely to hold the money for much longer to make sure the transfer is legit as there is a larger chance that if the transaction was fradulent that the poker site could get out of paying the third party

I GOT PAID FINALLY!!!! After 3 weeks I woke up today and the money hit Neteller. I am so relieved as this is my living. It is still bad that it took them so long, and their customer service was very poor, but at this point I'm thrilled they aren't just seizing my money like some of the stuff that happened on PurePoker. Thanks to everyone who offered support with this.

hi fluff,

We are pokerroom skin and I, for one, can say almost all your crticisms are warranted. The problem with Futurebet skins is that most skins do not handle their own processing or accounting. They outsource this to FutureBet and then lose complete control over their player's funds. The only Futurebet sites worth worrying about are those who do not handle their own processing. Futurebet is an unreliable processor and has a history of problems.

For example, our financial system is in our complete control, and we are licensed through Futurebet. We handle all the processing and WE pay Futurebet their royalty, not the other way around. We have final word on any decision and full control of all our players and their cashiers. Futurebet has zero access to any of our merchant facilities and cannot control whether or not a player receives his funds. The difference is in the type of license the sub-licensee acquires. We are a master license, while others are traditional sub-licensees.

Interestingly, we also outsource our support to "player support" but this is of little danger to the player. Our site does plan on moving towards handling our own support as well, once we get some traffic (we only opened a week ago and are still in a beta stage before ads are up), but their services seem sufficient for now. With regards to deposits/cashouts, we have a seperate support dedicated only to processing services that is run directly by our staff and is not outsourced.

Also, I agree that the OP can be given no guarantee to recieve his funds. There is a decent chance, but Futurebet's history tells that worrying is a more than reasonable thing to do. Though, I do hope his problem is solved with as little frustration as possible.

If anyone has any questions about our site or the network, one can reply to this post, PM me, or email me,

Best of luck to all,
Adam

I've never tried this network and I don't follow them closely. It does seem like new skins are sprouting at an amazing rate.

What's "etc."? Does someone know an actual list of the directly licensed skins?

Why does OnGame seem to be getting a free pass here? Why aren't they getting blacklisted for letting this run out of control and not taking responsibility? For all the bad things one might say about Prima, they don't seem to allow this kind of nonsense on their network.

So to be safe it sounds like we should just play the main skins of pokerroom (ones listed on BW lets say)?
