Default Help needed, monitor going blank

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced a situation where you are playing on Party and your monitor all of a sudden goes blank. It has been happening to me, and I can't imagine what is causing it.

I use my laptop at work all day for document creation and I never have this situation happen. It only happens when playing poker. When I play poker, I typically run the following software: Party client, PokerTracker, PokerAce HUD. I experience a blank screen typically once a session, occassionaly twice. I cannot find any way to recover from it other than closing my laptop to put the system in standby mode, then opening it. During this process, I lose internet connection (wireless). Timing is variable, typically more than 30 minutes, but is not consistent.

I'm pretty good with computer configuration. I have already double-checked power saving modes, screensaver settings. I have Norton Internet security on and do not believe this is related to a virus or spyware. I really don't know what could be causing it. As I said, I use different software all day at work and do not experience this. If anyone has suggestions on something to double-check I would appreciate it. I can't help but to blame this on the system checks Party does, but I would expect others to be experiencing this if it were the case.

Thanks for any insight,
Aaron
