OT: Exchanging currency. Specifically Canadian to American

I have a pretty substantial problem regarding currency exchange. I need the most efficient way to convert large amounts of Canadian dollars to American dollars. Here is the true rate of exchange:

The problem is that places don't offer the true rate. Does anyone know what the most efficient way to convert about 20,000 Canadian to American? I can create a checking account in Canada if it's necessary. Any help would be much appreciated.

of course they don't offer a true rate, how else would financial institutions profit from a service?

you're best off going to your own local bank and talking with a customer service rep/manager about converting the cash
