You were probably beat. Hands like JT and T9 are your best remaining hope. Desperation turn and river bets from 66 are also possible, I guess.

Once I've made it to the river, I am really tempted to call again. But I don't think you'll be good very often.

Disclaimer: I've never actually played the 2/4 6-max, so someone who knows better than I do how unknowns play at that limit can probably give you a better answer.
