Default 97s Party NL $25

UTG hasn't played many hands, seems fairly straight forward.

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
4 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $22.25
Hero: $38.45
SB: $24.95
BB: $23.21

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG calls $0.25 <font color="#aaaaaa">(pot was $0.35)</font>, Hero calls $0.25 <font color="#aaaaaa">(pot was $0.6)</font>, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($0.85, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">BB bets $0.25</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2</font>, BB calls $1.75 <font color="#aaaaaa">(pot was $3.6)</font>, UTG calls $1.5 <font color="#aaaaaa">(pot was $5.35)</font>.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($6.85, 3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $4</font>, BB folds, <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $8.95</font>, Hero ???

UTG sure is playing it like a made flush, which is likely better that mine. However, Kx, two pair, slowplayed straight is def. possible as well. Raise or fold?

Instapush.

Raise preflop unless 2 or more of sb, bb and utg are calling stations preflop. You got position with a great hand, make use of it.

It's a great hand to raise with considering there is only one limper there. You will most likely take the pot or take it down after getting HU to the flop. If you get action when holding 97s it's not hard to figure out what to do: either you have close to the nuts or you have nothing. That's what making this hand a great hand to raise with from the button and one open-limper.
