Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($4.75, 3 players) BB bets $1, UTG folds, Hero raises to $6.25, BB raises all-in $12.2, Hero???? I guess that the larger question is, what in the hell do I do with overpairs that don't improve? I keep running into sets. It may just be variance, but it seems that most of the time I get a pocket pair (expecially AA and KK) one of my opponents hits a set. |

So far not bad, but I'll usually PFR in this spot. (On the BN against a single EP open-limper)
Getting 2:1 against a short all-in, I'll make this call. He'll have draws often enough. |

I would probably fold here, but I think you played it properly. Almost anytime someone leads out a tiny bet like that into me, I stick pot-sized raise in there. I find the vast majority of the time they fold, and the times they play back they have a monster. I would give him credit for TT+ here personally (unless you have seen him pull the all-in on a draw maneuver before).

Oh actually I missed the donk-minbet. I think I may fold here, too.

Hes getting great odds but with a SS raising out the blinds there is a high chance he has a PP, and the only pair he is beating is 33. Villain likes his hand here, calling seems like a waste of money to me.
I definitely agree with a preflop raise in this position though. |

Folding 4:1, hmmm. The $5.95 is worth the information you aquire from him donk betting the flop and raising in the BB. Now you can defend yourself against this play if it occurs again, and not be left sitting confuzzled. Not to mention you're getting 4:1, yes, you probably are beat, but a call isn't a horrible play, neither is a fold.
