CO is allin. Should I call this draw on on the flop? I'm showing results just because this isn't the first time this has happened. Was I right to berate bigstack for this play (hopefully he learns in the future)? |

Well, first of all. Never berate anyone at the poker table. I didn't look at the results. You played it fine.

I think you're supposed to call this flop. Against MOST of the villain's range, you're better than 50/50.
The short stack is already all in, so for you to miss the money, you need to lose to both players. Take this coinflip now, as it almost ensures that the short stack goes out and if you double up you have a shot at first. |

Yeah, I was just thinking about this and had to sign back in to say call the flop bet. All you have to do is beat the desperate shorty and you're about a coinflip to win the hand and have a much better shot at first.

Re: $11r Shorty allin, doofus bigstack costs me 20 bucks
With the way the stacks are, I would call the flop. I don't know if it is the right play by ICM, but I suspect that it is. It would be one thing if there was someone with like 1500 chips, but the next closest guy is sitting on 6000 so his equity jump isn't that big should you go busto. Looks like a prime spot to gamble to me. I'll run an ICM because I'm curious now.
Fold = .1478 and .2454 Call = .3172 and .2231 So if you win 50% of the time you call and win 50% of the time against the big stack if the short stack wins, your equity is 23.6% If you fold, your equity is 19.7% if they are 50/50 So yeah easy call |

Also, I like Big stacks play here. He is ahead of shorty often enough, and if he isnt, what difference does it make to him if shorty busts out or you bust out a few hands later. edit: although i think he should have isolated you preflop, the flat call is horrible. |
