Default Standard?

Playing 2/4 NL, I have a fresh 400 and villain covers.
Villain makes it 16$ in MP, I call with Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] OTB.

Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

He leads for 20$, I make it 70$, he makes it 150$... Standard push correct?

Well you have zero FE here and when he calls he most likely has KK, TT, A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

It is very easy to get enamored with these draws, and while you are slightly ahead of AKo here, or KQ, the hands that are calling your push, which it appears he has, are way ahead of you.

This also means that if you hit your straight or flush he will pay you off on the turn. Call the $75 and reevaluate turn.

You don't think I have ANY fold equity here? Though he did just RE-raise me, I still think i have a LITTLE fold equity here, even if he folds this 1 outta 10 or 15 times, is that enough to sway the mathematics?

no one in this game folds after putting in the 3-bet. never ever.

in fact, fold equity is almost non-existent in the PP $400...

(without reads)
snipes, your calling range is too narrow, and his 3betting range is wider than you give him credit for.

The other thing is, if you call and brick, you have imm odds to call a 2/3 pot bet, and probably just enough imp odds to call a pot sized bet (without showing much profit). so if you plan on calling on the turn anyway, you might as well take your FE against AK,KQ,AA,and another semibluff.

I push here. You are probably behind and probably dont have much (any?) FE, but as someone said you are probably going to have to call a lot on the turn anyways and have odds to do so, so why not just get it in here. Plus its good for metagame, since you will probably play a set the same way in the future and want a call from AK/AA.
