Re: Best fictitious athlete
You must not realize how much better the fictional Bo was than the real Bo.
I never even played that game, but accounts of how good the Bo Jackson character was are legend. Some players, no matter where the line of scrimmage was, would have Bo run back to his own 1-yard line, then turn around and take it 99 yards to the house. Just to make it interesting. |

Re: Best fictitious athlete
for how romanticized that game was, it was in reality a piss poor sports game with terrible playtesting. How could they not know how stupidly dominant Giants/LT, Bo, and the unstoppable slant play with montana/rice was?

[/ QUOTE ] See, even if you count Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson as a fake person, you need to consider his prowess within the context of the game. In Tecmo Bowl, I could have Neil Anderson AND Johnny Bailey at the top of the league in rushing yards and scoring, while still throwing 60 touchdown passes with Jim Harbaugh. And while William Perry racked up 150+ sacks. And while Cap Boso, the backup tightend, had 11 total kick and punt returns for touchdowns. |
