oh man... it was awesome. The bread was all nice and soft unlike the Quiznos cheesesteak I've had before (the only other cheesesteak I've had) which was all hard. The pieces of steak were nice and thin... and all soft and melted in my mouth. I had to wait until I was done to tell my friend how awesome it was. I think I ate the whole thing in under 2 minutes.

The worst part of the experience was chugging down my coke afterward because the delicious taste of the chesesteak would be gone afterward.

If the highest you've played prior to this is a 2-4 game then I would caution you to slow down.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've played from $1/$2 up through $10/$20 both full and short online over the past two years. $2/$4 is the highest I had played live prior to that, but the consensus on this forum seems to be that live $10/$20 is generally as tough as the $3/$6 online, which I never found too tough at all.

So it wasn't like I just decided to gambool. I went on this trip fully intending to play some $10/$20 (but never thought I'd be sitting at a $20/$40).

Especially if your downing all the free booze they are throwing your way. When the deck stops hitting you in the head you are going to get your clock cleaned by some of those people.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well the booze wasn't an issue. It was weak at both the Trop & the Taj. They couldn't have been mixing more than 25%/75%. I tossed away some cards I would have never tossed if I was drunk, so I was confident my BAC was acceptable for the game.

[ QUOTE ]
You might consider this: the Taj has a 5-10 limit game that really is an easy one, and I think you'll be more in your comfort zone in that one. Anyway, best of luck to you whether you listen to my advice or not.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks for the tip, but I was feeling pretty comfortable until I was down a rack in the $20/$40 but quickly got back in my comfort zone when I realized it was only 12 BB. Comfort wasn't much of an issue... I will keep that game in mind though if I start off running bad next time I go.

IMHO there is only one waitress at the taj who is even a little bit good-lookin. I think she has fake boobs too?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not cocktail waitress... she's one of the restaurant waitresses. The cocktail waitresses are pretty awful.
