100NL a flop c/r all-in that felt far too large
I kind of wanted to c/r less than all-in here, but even a raise to just 40 has me calling if he goes all-in (right?). I doubt I'm getting AK to come along with a smaller c/r, and I probably get the overpairs to fold significantly less often. Plus, I don't really know how to play the turn if he just calls a smaller c/r.

Re: 100NL a flop c/r all-in that felt far too large
I don't like the PFR but i guess you were mixing it up or something. I like leading this flop in the hopes he comes over the top with an agressive AK or even pushes with his high PP. I want all my money in on this flop. As played isnt bad too but I would prefer playing a way that makes it more likely he commits all his money here more often.

It's a little big.. but overbetting is fun.
Bet/3-bet also works. |

You're still behind an overpair. So many people play sooted cards that hit flush draw flops like this. What is the reasoning.

You're still behind an overpair. [/ QUOTE ] I'm slightly ahead of AA without a diamond and slightly behind AA with a diamond. |

Yeah I did it with a diamond.
I just think this lets worse hands fold and better hands call. I seem to be the only guy that doesnt play this way, so i'm ready for some opinions. |

I just think this lets worse hands fold and better hands call [/ QUOTE ] this is one of the problems you will encounter in higherstake games. down here esp in passive games we will get folds enough times to pick up the pot and we will get calls from many hands that we are basically at a coin flip with so with the given FE of the push it has obvious added value. some people call all ins with the most rediculous things at SSNL |
