[/ QUOTE ] They use some of the same servers or something. I'm not an expert on this stuff, but, basically, it's possible for just part of the Internet to go down. There's always someone saying it's the government every time this happens, but we know it's not because it's happened many times before. |

Re: FT $500 tourney - was disconnected with ~25 people left
Ok, that def makes sense. I can understanding them using the same servers and stuff, just still confused about why i couldn't go to poker related websites either, even though everything else worked. PokerStars and FTP software using the same server i can understand, but using the same software as pocketfives or 2+2...i dont understand that....
Any opinion on that would be appreciated, if not, thanks for the quick response I apprecciate it ALOT. -Adam |

Ftsuxmydic,
Even though I find your screen name offensive and think you have several personality disorders, I will give you my advice just one time (and one time only). Think of this incident as being analogous to a fire in a B&M cardroom. It's just a freak occurence. Furthermore, it just proves FTP is aptly named as you were put on 'Full Tilt' after playing in one of their poker games. This is just part of learning experience that every wannabe 'Full Tilt Poker' pro must endure in their quest to be like Jesus (or Phil Ivey). Obviously, you are an inferior poker player who was going to lose that money anyway. It's your choice: learn from your propensity go on full-tilt if you want any chance of becoming a Poker Star. My "Absolute" best wishes on your next "Ultimate Bet." Re: FT $500 tourney - was disconnected with ~25 people left
Jeff, thanks for your response. The thing I will disagree with is that it's not like a fire in a B&M casino and the tourney is called off. Certain people were put in an advantageous position where they were able to continue. As far as I can see, this was an FTP server problem or someone's server that they are using and are responisble for. For your analogy to work, they should have stopped the tourney and come up with a fair way to distribute the prize pool. What happened reeks of unfairness!!

Re: FT $500 tourney - was disconnected with ~25 people left
Also, no excuse for FT not having someone from support avaliable to us to answer questions and reply to e-mails. It's insult to injury. It'd be unforgiveable, but at least courteous for them to just come out and say what happened and that they can't change anything. But to stay quiet and unavailable is just wrong.

Re: FT $500 tourney - was disconnected with ~25 people left
UR RESPONSE MEAN JACK CHIT. GO DONK OFF IN SOME OTHER FORUM ARE YOU ARE NO WHERE USEFUL BELITTLING OTHER MEMBERS WITH YOUR RUBBISH SLANDER. I HAVE MANY REASONS TO BE ANGRY AS NOT ONLY HAVE I SUFFERED RIDICULOUS BEATS THE ENTIRE MONTH BUT THE 1 CHANCE I HAVE AT REDEEDMING IT IN THE TRNY IS SQUASHED BY THIS OCCURENCE AND THEY HAVE BEEN ANYTHING BUT SUPPORTIVE. FT BY FAR HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT SERVICE OF ANY SITE IVE PLAYED ON AND AFTER THIS DEBACLE I WILL INDEED PLAY ELSEWHERE AS I WILL NOT TOLERATE THEIR LACK OF SUPPORT AND SINCERITY TO THE ONES WHO PAY THEIR BILLS. I FEEL FOR THE ONES IN THE MILLION GUARN TODAY AS THEY HAD A LOT MORE UP FOR GRABS. FOLLOW ME IN BOYCOTTING THIS WASTE OF A JOKE SITE.
