Re: 3/6 NL 6-max --- Flush on paired board call river ALLIN?
Hey, you show me all the 57/0 players in PT that are actually tough and tricky players and I'll come around to folding. I don't care what his PFR stats are in relation to how he's betting. I'm saying I don't see any indication that he's nearly tough enough a player to worry about him only being filled up there.
It's not always the worst case scenario, you know. I'd say you'd be shocked at the number of times a villain will do this with a hand like T9, but you should already know. If you don't, you're probably folding big hands like this too often. Sometimes you lose these hands cause he's full. Way more often you win them cause he's not a very smart and tough player. - C - |

Snappo as gay as it is I think it's a fold. As you can tell by his stats he is loose passive. In my experience when a villian like this moves in for a lot it's gonna be a hand that beats yours unless you hold the nuts. Passive villians with weak statts like that usually dont make big bluffs/overbets with weaker hands. Also don't pay any attention to psuasskicker his advice is terrible. No offense psu but do you play like .10/.25 NL?

Re: 3/6 NL 6-max --- Flush on paired board call river ALLIN?
doesnt necessarily take a tough and tricky player to check behind with JT, T8 on such a flop

[/ QUOTE ] you are making a case against your own argument. the fact that he is so passive (70/0 whatever) only means that when he DOES show big aggression (as in this hand), he probably has a strong hand. and you say hes not tricky, meaning he's straightforward. a huge allin overbet raise from a straightforward player means a big hand doesnt it? |

doesnt necessarily take a tough and tricky player to check behind with JT, T8 on such a flop [/ QUOTE ] Of course not. Here's the problem I see with some of the advice in this thread and others. People are saying "Here are a couple hands this sort of player could make this sort of play with." A lot of people don't actually try to put villain on a range of hands and act accordingly. Villain's AF is > 1, so it's not like he doesn't know how to bet or raise. He's also got a very wide range of hands to play before the flop. Yes, it's definitely possible for villain to slowplay a full on this turn. It's also possible for villain to be sitting on a flush here and think "Hero probably doesn't have a flush, so a big raise may make him think his pair/trips are good and he'll call my massive all in." It's also possible he's an idiot and thinks "This would be a good spot for me to move in with my trip tens." Just like it's possible he's bluffing. How 'bout trying to figure out what the probability is that he's holding a range of hands rather than just saying "a full house can play their hand like this"? Some people here really seem to look for excuses to fold... - C - |
