If Prince Harry or William were to die in some sort of tradegy, I think it might rival Diana's death, which is a death whose impact is unlikely to be surpassed in this generation.
As for old codgers, the Queen, the Pope, world leaders, etc. will all get news coverage, but really won't have an impact on society as a whole. |
