Re: [NL50] 42s on AK2 (bluff reraise)
you should move up to nl200 where they might respect your raises.
your plays are too sophisticated for nl50, and actually probably a large reason you're playing there. i guess if the other player is really good you might fold out AQ, but i doubt it. |

Re: [NL50] 42s on AK2 (bluff reraise)
This is bad.
42s is just total trash to me, even IP. As played flop c-bet is fine, but you've got to give it up to the raise. You beat QJ. Villain likes his hand. Get out! |

Re: [NL50] 42s on AK2 (bluff reraise)
so 97s is total trash too?
If not, why? |

so 97s is total trash too? If not, why? [/ QUOTE ] 97s is better then 42 suited: 1) 97 can make about twice as many straights 2) when it makes a flush there are less ways it can be a second- or third- best flush 3) 9 and 7, when they pair, beat many more pairs than 4 or 2 can 4) 97 is luckier |

so 97s is total trash too? [/ QUOTE ] Nah. I probably only make this move with 67s+ and T8s+, so its pretty marginal, but I wouldn't call it utter trash. [ QUOTE ] If not, why? [/ QUOTE ] Middle pair better than low pair. Trips with mid-kicker better than board kicker. Middle 2 pair better than bottom 2 pair. 9-high flush better than 4-high. More straights to be made. |
