Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)
Analogy time!
You are the general. Your hands are your agents. It is your task to send those ready into battle, and keep those that are not from harm. The same is true for while they are in battle. Discuss. |

Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)
The comparison is not clear sir. Analogous to what?
Also, 'hands' is ambiguous? Do you mean pker hands? Also, don't much like anything that characterises something peaceful as war. Somewhat poetic tho. |

Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)
I certainly do mean poker hands!
You send your army into battle and order them to do the most damage. When you think harm will come to your army, you can "fall back" or even retreat. Although I suppose some generals sacrifice mercilessly countless armies and others are afraid to send any into battle. |

Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)
It's not a huge secret that I had a super slump of death last year. My $$ and BB/100 were very negative for the stakes I played at. I lately have had rough nights, and if I may humbly say it's been bad luck, but I'm looking for leaks to fix anyways. Blah blah blah blah...
The point is the $$ is still going down, but the negative winrate is shifting to the right fairly quickly. I find that an interesting (and moderately encouraging) mathematical occurance. At the very least, I'm doing much better than I was a year ago. |

Re: Mine Dribbles (NC Thread)
Well Napoleon had less cards to play than the russians, preussians, austrians and brittons but did rather well.
The russians then shortstacked him by emptying Moscow and he got Neteller'ed at Elba so he had no founds to play with and when he got his founds out of Neteller he then got a bad beat while ahead at Waterloo when Blücher came out from the woods behind him at the river when he was all-in. |

Yesterday i went to holland casino for the first time and i ended up playing some live 2/4 limit (the plan was to play some sit'n'go). It got me addicted to fixed limit again I think . The play was sooooo soft, it was like they were all trowing money at my head, gotta luv it |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Spent 15 minutes reading Buzz's tournament hands. Learned some valuable lessons in NL HU play. Please, ban him for NL spam [/ QUOTE ] yeah i guess the action went faster than it takes to read! [/ QUOTE ] playing a 70FPP there is a donkey that busts everyone except me and other guy playing hands like 83o vs JJ, and flopping 33x. He finally busts and it's HU with the other guy. It is pretty high M for awhile, actually and my cards are sucking teh balls...then he suddenly times out... [/ QUOTE ] They read all the hands, but not the three sentences above the hands, lol. Poker geeks. Zeldark... I think your chips are your armies, not your hands. The hands are the battlefield, and a good general picks good ground for his troops. Napoleon was playing above his roll, ldo. Wife just left for a week in Florida with a few of her friends. She took the kids. This is like a business trip without the trip and expense account. I've won 5/35 of those 70fpp's. 3 paid for 4 KOTKP entries. 2 paid for 3 4/180's, 1 5/18, and 1 1/45. Placed 6th in a 4/180, 1st in the 5/18 and 2nd in the 1/45 for a total of +$82. Sweet. |
