Re: Simple preflop question
[ QUOTE ]
so why are you 3betting 22-55? edit: unless you fold them. im really confused by your post here. [/ QUOTE ] lol sry i was only thinking of sc's suited connecters and stuff like this :P don't thoguht of pp's 22-55 is w/o history also for me just a call but sometimes i also 3-bet them ( if villian is a very loose stealer...) but i still like raising sc's vs. villians that have a pretty high att.2steal hope i can let you know what i mean |

Re: Simple preflop question
Isnīt that pretty exploitable ?
Also, isnīt it better to call with hands like KQ as raising tends to make dominated hands fold ? |

Isnīt that pretty exploitable ? [/ QUOTE ] I dunno. Any ideas how to exploit it ? [ QUOTE ] Also, isnīt it better to call with hands like KQ [/ QUOTE ] Maybe. So far I only tried it with AK/AQ maybe other broadways are good candidate to call with too. I dont want to go too far into it as many ppl I play daily with read this forum and as many of them are slow on spotting those things they will surely notice when they read about here |

lso, isnīt it better to call with hands like KQ [/ QUOTE ] hm yeah i really like 3-betting suited connector/grabber/2-grabber and unsuited connected much more hands like KQ i also like to just call ip because if you raise your is very often dominated hand that can become very expensive in rr pots :P i like 3-betting hands w/ good implied odds and i don't think that this is very exploitable because you basicly can hit really every flop hard... you can have AA as an overpair, trips on a J66r board... just any stuff and oop in a rr pot it's even harder to know for villian where he is at than if you are only 3-betting AQ+ TT+... lol my english seems to be very bad but you got my point? |

Re: Simple preflop question
punter,
do you still do this when you get to 200bb+? it seems silly to waste positional advantage. |

Re: Simple preflop question

do you still do this when you get to 200bb+? it seems silly to waste positional advantage. [/ QUOTE ] I think the bigger the stacks the more reason to 3bet more. Imo your argument is weak without some concrete numbers. You could use it for example for HU play from SB (SB = button, 100BB stacks) : "Why raise instead of limping ? Wasting positional advantege seems a bit silly". I understand that positional advantage is less important with shallower stacks (relatively to the pot) but : a)the pot is bigger so smaller relative advantage may result in bigger $$ advantage b)in exchange for positional (relative) advantage you get additional FE preflop and somethign which is called "initiave" (which basically means that Villain will play more passively and he could put you on diffrent range than you actually have). So I dont think its that simple... |
