Default Another PayTru Trip Report

Mar 15: Tried signing up for PayTru card and it said the following:

Your card could not be issued with the information you provided. One or more pieces of information you provided is not valid . Please try again. If the problem persists please contact support@pokerstars.com .

I resubmitted the sign-up form with various possibilities many times and I kept getting this message. After a few e-mails with Stars, I sent them a scanned copy of my driver's license and a utility bill to verify my identity. They then manually created a card for me and I was able to set-up my pin and just had to wait for the card.

Mar 16: I was confused as the card still didn't show up when I tried to withdrawal or deposit using PrePaid Visa. Rather, it took me to the original sign-up form. I e-mailed Stars security back and they had to forward it on to someone who asked for my phone number.

Mar 17: Someone calls me from Stars and said I need to deposit using the card as a regular Visa.

Mar 25: I had been on vacation starting Mar 17. The card had been delivered already when I returned on the 25th. I loaded $30 onto the card and made a $10 deposit into Stars.

Mar 26: I forgot there is a 48 hour window before you can cashout after a deposit. I e-mailed Stars asking them to waive the period and they did. I cashed out $260 to the card and the $10 was credited backing immediately showing up on my PayTru account. A few hours later I wasn't sure if the rest should have been credited yet, so I e-mailed them.

... "The remainder of your cashout is in this review process and should be
in your PayTru account within 72 hours."

Mar 28: About 39 hours after my cashout request, the rest of the money was credited to my PayTru account.

I was very impressed with Stars and prompt, helpful support.

I just cashed out through PayTru (deposited with MoneyGram, since $9.95 flat is a whole lot better than 4%, plus they were giving a bonus). Withdrew $1000 to the card; full amount showed up in about 36 hours after never having used the card before for anything. Took it to an ATM, cashed out $500 (the daily limit) and was charged a fee of $1.00 by PayTru and $1.50 by the bank I believe. Not bad at all. I will definitely be using PayTru for cashouts from now on, though I would not recommend it for deposits due to the fee.

I signed up for the card on 3/17, received it 3/29. As a withdrawal test I withdrew $220 to the card to cover $200 cash, $2.50 PayTru fee, ATM fee and a possible $3.95 PayTru monthly account fee that I understand you can be hit with at random, and still have at least the $10 minimum to send back to PokerStars so I would have no balance on PayTru. It took 16 hrs to show up on my card. I withdrew $200 and when I checked my balance there was $17.50 left. Looks like no fee
from the ATM operator, unless that is covered in the $2.50. I then sent the $17.50 back to Stars successfully.

PayTru charged me different amounts of ATM service fees. I made two withdrawals in the last couple weeks. The first time, PayTru charged me $4. I just withdrew the 2nd time, and the fee was $2.5. Has this happened to anyone else? btw, these fees are charged by PayTru, not the ATM.

Signed up with Pay Tru last night. Five minutes later funded my virtual card (paid 4% fee) and then loaded my Pokerstars account. No problems. Assuming I get my card next week and I have some profits to cash out I'll see if it remains problem free.

Has anybody had success depositing on Cake with this card? I've been able to deposit on Stars and Bodog with it so far but not Cake. Bodog took about ten attempts before it finally worked, hoping Cake will work out the same.

I had the same thing happen. I made 2 withdraws $500 each day. The fees were $2.50 each, I had been charged $4.00 once before. Seems like good news.
