I'm not advocating it for EVERY time... just occasionally. Maybe 1 out 5 times against this type of opponent?
McGee if I check the turn through, I am calling every river non club under 9, and raising the eight of clubs of course, so about 50/50. So many are recommending bet the turn. Are we bet/folding the turn? I am glad I'm in this discussion because this is a type of problem hand for me. |

[/ QUOTE ] If our opponent is on a club draw (or straight draw, or two overcards to our eights), he'll call a bet on the turn that we won't usually get out of him on the river (unless he hits, of course). -McGee |
