Re: Star Trek Actors That Should Have Done More
Dude, I enjoy the original Captain Kirk series, but could care less for the Next Generation or anything else that came afterwards. Would this make me a pariah in the Star Trek community?

This depends. How old are you?

Re: Star Trek Actors That Should Have Done More
Definitely in the Star Trek community. In mainstream society it probably doesn't make you that much of an outcast.
You really ought to check out some of the later shows, particularly the later years of TNG or any part of DS9. Not nearly as formulaic as the original series, but quite a bit better in terms of story development, acting and so on. Swede |

Now, let me strongly disagree with the nomination of Patrick Stewart. He's done a ton of work, including major movies, stage-work, lots and lots of voice stuff for movies and shows. In fact, I'll probably go as far as saying he's the single most prominent actor from any Star Trek series, which isn't shabby. [/ QUOTE ] You went one to far. Shatner is the most prominiant. Its not even close. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, he was definately a prominant stage actor before TNG, and he's had several very solid roles since. I agree that he doesn't fit the "should have done more" criteria as much as Brooks or Frakes, but only because he's done more. Stewart was by far the best actor Star Trek ever saw, and he played the most compelling character on any of the series as well. [/ QUOTE ] THERE! ARE! FOUR! LIGHTS!!! Of course, Tony Todd was the lead in Candyman!
Halfway through that movie at a halloween party, it finally hit me, and i said "Oh [censored], that's Kurn!" and my girlfriend's face was ashen with embarassment while I explained who that was. |

Definitely in the Star Trek community. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I'd definately say he's not part of the group, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to say he's a lesser citizen. I guess it depends on how he's asking the question. Are you wanting to know where you'd fit in in the Star Trek community, or are you asking how the Star Trek community sees you in relationship to themselves and the rest of the world. A lot of people in this country are not very kind to Star Trek fans, you know. |

Re: Star Trek Actors That Should Have Done More
Shatner might be the more prominent in terms of everyday yahoos recognicing him (due to those Priceline commercials more than anything) but in terms of overall greatness and continued money earning potential Stewart is my pick.
