End of year two of music theory, the final is a "total serial" composition in which every aspect of the piece (pitches, rhythms, dynamics, articulations, and so forth) is determined by a 12-note row and its permutations (inverted, retrograde, and retrograde inversion).
Enjoy! FWIW, the row I used is: C, C#, D#, F#, B, G, Ab, F, Bb, E, D, A which was determined by counting halfsteps from C based on the fibonacci series. |
