X-Post: Settle this Poker Theory debate
NL 100: Player A gets K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10x in a row, while player B gets A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10x in a row. They go all in every hand and player A (KK) wins them all. There is no rake. Player A is +$1000.
They agree to go to NL 1,000: Player A gets A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and player B gets K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. They go all in and Player B wins. Now they have the same amount of money from when they started. What is the EV of player A ? EV of player B ? Is he running good , bad , or neutral ? |

They go all in every hand and player A (KK) wins them all. There is no rake. Player A is +$300. They agree to go to NL 300: Player A gets A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and player B gets K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Re: X-Post: Settle this Poker Theory debate
how is this even a debate? both players have the same EV and both players are running neutral.
second situation is equivalent. |

Re: X-Post: Settle this Poker Theory debate
no they dont have the same ev.
player a's ev is as follows 3 x 20 + 80 = 140 BBs he actually ended up with 250 bbs. thats pretty far from neutral |

Re: X-Post: Settle this Poker Theory debate
ev is measured in dollars, not bbs. you can't just take a shot at 5/10 with a $3k roll and lose it all, and be like "welp, I'm up 600bbs on the month." since you made 900bbs at .02/.04 or something. it doesn't tell you any information of value. it's neutral EV, perioddd

Re: X-Post: Settle this Poker Theory debate
i suppose u think when aba loses 200k hes running worse than an msnler who loses 20k. BBs are all that matter, dollars tell u nothing since limits change but number of BBs is a constant, perioddd
