I posted a while ago about a scenario like this, about whether or not a situation exists where if you open from late position and get called by the blinds whether checking behind is ever correct. I think it really depends on your table image whether or not checking behind is ok. I check behind sometimes when I have nothing, so I have to check behind sometimes when I have something. This is a situation online where I check behind a lot. I like the way you played it, and I agree one reason why is that this is a classic way ahead way behind scenario.

well, I don't like a check unless your opponent is very dumb

this board is perfect for a cb, and when villain raises my blind and then checks this board, I'm always shown the nuts

would you ever check behind with KQ on this board after you raised? I don't, but if you do, then a check might be ok

i like this against dumb aggro monkeys... but against most folks... if they don't c-bet on an A-high flop, it is 95% a weak ace or it's a full house...

generally speaking, i like to bet here as most dumb folks will peel for a miracle broadway gutshot anyway...

I'd say that full vs 6max does matter. You can get a little more tricky with just top pair in a 6 max game, but it's very opponent specific also. I'd like to bet the flop though.
