Per a picture above, Duke basketball. NO COMPARISON
Also, in hockey, the home team has a faceoff advantage. |

On paper it's baseball and it's not even close.
Other factors considered (NBA officiating, playing in Death Valley, etc) it's a lot different. |

i don't get why the NBA's the highest. the court's are the same everywhere, the rules don't favour the home team, i would think they would be lowest. what gives?

[ QUOTE ] in Boxing some hometowns or countries you basically have to win by knockout to get the win. [/ QUOTE ] Damn, beat me to it. Boxing is the answer, and I don't think it's close. [/ QUOTE ] Yup...case in point, many, many fighters from the UK refuse to fight in the US, and vice-versa. |

When you have a big crowd chanting for your team you're magically able to shoot a higher 3-point percentage (along with everything else)? |

Hockey [/ QUOTE ] There was a 4-5 page article in SI about this a few years ago. the main reason is that every time there is a faceoff, the home team gets to wait for the visitors to put their new lines on the ice before they make their changes. It's hockey hands down. *edit* I just glanced over a little more of the thread and a couple of the links and maybe I'm wrong. I swear SI had some pretty convincing evidence that it was hockey, though. |
