Re: Bledsoe Retires
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] There's no getting around the fact that the guy sucked in big games. [/ QUOTE ] yeah and there's no getting around the fact that bledsoe threw for 20k more yards over 100 more TD's. seriously, its insulting to bledsoe to be mentioned in the same sentence as kosar. [/ QUOTE ] Yes that was clearly my argument. GG creative editing straw-manaments. |

Re: Bledsoe Retires
In his post NFL life, he could be a stunt double for Tony Goldwyn.

Re: Bledsoe Retires
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] we were on the verge of losing the franchise. [/ QUOTE ] Headlines like this haunted my dreams Another [/ QUOTE ] Before Kraft bought the team, I remember there was talk of moving the team to St. Louis. That would have been awful. I never understood what the big deal was about moving to Hartford. It is still New England, they were still going to be called the New England Patriots, and they would only have been 1.5 hours away. I would have contiuned to root for them, and I wouldn't have even felt bad about it. |

[ QUOTE ]
Solid career, he's Bernie Kosar with a ring. [/ QUOTE ] [censored] please. Kosar won a ring with the Cowboys as Aikmen's backup. Similar to Bledsoe, he also filled in during the conference championship game, completing 5 of 9 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. |

Re: Bledsoe Retires
When I was 10-12 (I don't remember exactly) my older brother (half-brother technically, he was 25-27) had met some people in the Pats organization including Bledsoe through connections he made at work. He remained in contact with Kraft's nephew (I think) and was given a ball that was signed by almost everyone on the team, excepting Bledsoe and a few others. Bledsoe lived in my home town, and one time while visiting from CA, where he was living, my brother got a great idea. After my soccer game he took me to Bledsoe's house, knocked on the door and basically said "Hey Drew, we met that time, remember, wanna sign these for me and my little brother," handing him two posters. Drew was really cool, signed them, and talked to us for a few minutes. Always loved Drew, but I'll agree it was time for a change when Brady stepped up.

Re: Bledsoe Retires
He was an above average QB,likely not HOF material. I always liked him because he always struck me as a great team guy who didn't whine. The league needs more guys like Drew Bledsoe.

Re: Bledsoe Retires
Drew McQueen Bledsoe
Thought this was a joke when I saw it on wiki..apparently it's true. Good memories I have of him is the overtime win against the Vikings where he threw the ball 70 times. Won a few games with a broken finger, he was much tougher than he was given credit for. |
