pre-flop is standard, looks fine to me. I think you're right to bet this. his call is sort of hard to interpret though. he called your raise from BB pre-flop, so does that realistically suggest he has an ace? turn bet seems a bit dicey but not terrible at all. b/f seems defensible to me. if he had raised your bet here, it's probably time to think about folding. as it is, it's relaly hard to tell. perhaps he's on a decently strong ace? like AT or AQ or A9s? hard to tell as he merely had to call 1 bet from BB pre-flop. but if he was on an ace that didn't have a jack, it might explain his cautious play. i think checking behind on the river is fine. what woudl anotgher bet accomplish?

turn looks good. If you have a read this guy is a fish I like the turn. If he's a passive player that only calls down with TP then you mgiht be in trouble.
The problem is they have to be loose enough to be calling with a 3 to make your river bet worthwhile. If they are chasing a straight they missed and will fold to your bet. If they have an A they will call, if they have a J they will likely raise. I think the river is a check behind since whatever likely calls, you won't beat. Unless he is a very loose player that will call with a pair of 3s or any pocket pairs.

[/ QUOTE ] Very rare in 6max cause every moron notices after the first 100 hands that youre gonna get axed when you only play top pair - in 6max. After all, will villain call with a busted draw or a 3 often enough to make a river bet worthwile?
