Default STARS: Reward for 5 million VPP... This would be sick

What if stars introduced a sick reward for 5 million VPP how many of you would go for it ?

How sick would the reward have to be to make you go for it ?

Would it be possible to reach it playing the games you normally would play 8 hours per day 6 days per week minimum 8 tables at a time.

Please discuss.

Personally I would go for it, no doubt. Playing the games I play 5-10 - 15-30 limit I can reach it with 9 hours per day 27 days per month

That's 15432 points per day for 324 days.

No, I don't think I could do this.
Even if the total reward at the end of all of it was $1 million i don't believe i could do it.

I think for a million-zillion dollars the max I could do is probably in the 10kVPP/day range. MAAAYBE.

Note that $1 million in total wouldn't be that unfathomable a reward for such a goal.

Under following assumptions:
- VPP for SN is worth 5.25 cents in FPP's
- Milestones and tourney packages worth another 5 cents per VPP.

So right now you are getting about 10 cents per VPP.
Up that to 12.5 cents total once you get to Elite with the 5x pts while the milestone stuff past 1-million pretty much stays at 5c per VPP.

So just on how it runs already you will be close to $600k+ once you hit 5-million VPP's.

So giving an extra $400k for someone to make it to 5-mil would almost double the value of your VPP's but that's not enough for me to try to make it...which, again I don't think I coudl do anyway.

MAAAAYBE if it was $1-million alone just for making it to 5-million. This would be above and beyond the $600k+ you already make with all those points and milestones on your way there so it's a total of $1.6-million.

So this increases the value of your VPP's from 12.5c each all the way up to 32c each if I'm doing the math corectly.
About 2.5x increase.

Obviously the RB% you would get by doing this would be insane and Stars would technically lose moneyon you. but I suspect they MIGHT make it up on the other players who actually are crazy enough to go for this who will easily fall short.

considering some of onlinepro's previous posts about not winning there, etc I'm kind of surprised he would want to go for something like this.

It certainly is posssible.

I would go for it given the right rewards.

What about if they gave out the Aston Martin as a reward above and beyond all the regular rewards. But the Aston Martin runs out end of this year so thats not possible.

Lets take this more seriously, someone who is good at math run some numbers.

Like what is the total rake we will generate for Stars hitting 5 million. What percentage of that can we expect back ? Can we expect more than 100% rakeback for hitting 5 million ? Would stars possibly lose money on one player for the prospect of the huge promotional scheme it would provide ? Instant team pokerstars member if you hit Supernova Pristine !

And its not really not having a life. If you play 8-10 hours per day its reachable. Like having a regular job, Im sure people who have regular jobs have lives too. We would actually still have more time than people with regular jobs because we would save time on commute.

I know if there was a promo for 5 mill next year than that would definately make me go for Elite this year. otherwise I dont really want to get elite because its just not enough money and I dont really care about live tournaments.

No I mean VPP.

If they were to continue increasing value all the way up to 5million VPP then I think I would make it next year. The point being I am addicted to poker anyways I play average 10 hours per day 6 days a week of poker, but I play in many different sites and places. Mixing in high limit home games and B an M play. If stars was to introduce a deal where it would make it worthwhile to take all my play over to stars than I would gladly do it.

Simple enough to accomplish... 12 tables of 6 max 10-20 for 8 hours per day. That would give you over 2000 points per hour for 8 hours would be 16,000 per day which is slightly more than enough needed to make this level.

I know of a few other players who could make it as well. IT would just be a matter of seeing that is the reward going to be worth all the hard work not just physically but mentally for playing all year like that.

Here are a few things that would make me go for it, let me know if they are out of line or in snyc.

1. 1 year of Double VPP. Thats right double VPP not FPP. this would be on top of the 500% for getting elite.

2. 1 year of entries into Sundy million for free. This wont be T money that you can sell, just entries into the Sunday million. Value of around 10k per year.

3. Aston Martin without spending any points just for hitting the 5 million mark.

4. Instant Team pokerstars member, with sponsored tournaments all of following year. This would be marketing genious, You would be getting interviewed at every single event combined with online coverage.

5. Cash milestone bonuses that increase in value as you go higher instead of decreasing in value.

6. Privelage to obtain SuperNova ( Pristine ? ) status throughout lifetime of account, barring any fradulent cirumstances. ( This would be if they offered the Double VPP for reaching the level )

Obviously they wont give you everything on that list, but it is possible to have a few of those items given to make the bonus. I am certainly interested and awaiting.

The main question here is that would you be mad if they intrododuced something ? Anything for the 5million ? qouldnt you like to at least have the option to go for it ?

I can buy an Aston Martin. That wouldn't be enough. It would be a year of hell.

I mean VPP. 5M FPP is easy. That is only 4000 VPP/day for a SN

The rake you would generate for Stars would obviously depend greatly on what games you were playing.

Lets roughly estimate that at 12.5 cents per VPP you are playing in games where you get around 50% rakeback which might be correct for some of the 6-max players out there.

by the time you hit 5-million VPP's you will have earned about $620k-ish in FPP's and milestones.
So the rake you contributed might be somewhere around $1.2 million.

Obviously if you are playing in full-ring games where perhaps you are earning closer to 100% rakeback then the $620k-ish in bonuses you earn will be roughly equivilent to the rake you contributed.

At 5/10 and higher averaging 9 players per hand I'm going to guesstimate $0.18 contributed for each 1 VPP hand...this is mixing all the $1 and $2 raked-hands together.
And you are getting back about $0.125 of that in points and milestones.
And then estimate $0.33 contribted for $3 raked-hand which is a 2 VPP hand which is about $0.25 in value if you are already an elite.

So very roughly around 70% for such a player perhaps just on straight-up FPP's and milestones if there is nothing extra added for 5-million VPP's.

But if you play tighter than the table then you are also benefiting from the MGR structure and others are essentially earning the points for you, etc etc.

So you could be very close to the 100% RB range.
