QJo Flop nut Straight Trouble on turn
alright been sittin here for a little but this hand came up. villian is 22.6/7.9/2.12 over 75 hands.
this hand comes up and my question is can i possibly fold this on the river. the turn is a nasty card but i am unsure of how to play this river. i dont think there is value in a raise but i would like to know what you guys think. Full Tilt 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero calls, 4 folds, SB completes, BB raises, Hero calls, SB calls. Re: QJo Flop nut Straight Trouble on turn
If you didn't call the river this is a candidate for "misplayed every street". =/ Generally you shouldn't open-limp from MP1 in an online 2/4 game, QJo is not an exception (it's a pretty junky hand to be playing OOP headsup). There is no reason not to raise the flop, but there is a strong case for calling the turn and letting SB pad the pot.

Re: QJo Flop nut Straight Trouble on turn
open limp with QJo kinda bad
slowplaying the nuts on super action/drawy board real bad 3 betting turn is spew against many villains. folding river would be horrendous. my 4 cents. (edited for politeness) |

Re: QJo Flop nut Straight Trouble on turn
*grunch*
I'd raise this one. Since villain seems to be pretty aggressive I very much doubt he would've called the flop if he'd hit 2pair. I'm putting him on KTs, KJs or KQs. Calling is close, though. |

Re: QJo Flop nut Straight Trouble on turn
Preflop - Fold
As played: Flop - raise, raise, raise......You are getting action now that you may or may not get on the Turn. Get your money in , and theirs, when you can. Turn - Bad card. I would call as I don't want to open up to a re-raise. I want to show this hand down as cheaply as possible now. River - Call the bet getting 17:1. You can't possibly be sure you are beat and if you are sure you should have folded the Turn. Peace, Mygtar |
