Well it did not disappoint. Set up a bunch of plot points for the season. Looks like Searengen and Hearst are going to be at each others throats, that should be really interesting. Overall, one of the better episodes I have seen, I hope the rest of the seaon is that good.

Awesome.
The trailer for the next episode has me so psyched. Hearst might be more of a badass than Swearengen. |

If Hearst and Swearengen can't work something out between them, I'm laying a price on Hearst. He can bring in 1000 hired guns tomorrow. How does Al counter that?
In that case, "Here's my counter-offer to your counter-offer: Go f*** yourself!", just won't do. Richardson cracks me up. I can't believe the "point the antlers at him" didn't work. Too bad, he was pretty quick on the draw with those antlers. "Pray away, moron, for all the harm you'll do." Is the Chez Amie now the schoolhouse? Ewwwwww. |

Speculation time.
If Mr. Mayor didn't tell Hearst about the sheriff and what's-her-name, who did? He had to have some reason for his suspicion. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well the thing about this show is that you can predict many of the outcomes based on the actual history. Historical characters like Swearengen and Hearst thrived for several years after the time period of the show, and while the writers definitely employ their own creative license with many of the events, they'll never go so far against the history as to ruin or snuff out one or the other. Al and George will butt heads, and it will create some interesting conflicts, but eventually they'll both get richer. I'm thinking Hearst will definitely get his hands on the Garrett claim by the end of the season. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was reading up on some Al Swearengen stuff today... -he was a twin -he had 3 wives in Deadwood -the Gem average 5k per night profit -they had fights in a 5x5 area...bet they were awesome -Al was killed drunk and penniless shortly after leaving Deadwood. |
