Deadwood- Season 3 First Episode
 

Well it did not disappoint. Set up a bunch of plot points for the season. Looks like Searengen and Hearst are going to be at each others throats, that should be really interesting. Overall, one of the better episodes I have seen, I hope the rest of the seaon is that good.

There definitely are. Like I said if this is episode is an example for what's in store, this will be the finest season. (imo)

The trailer for the next episode has me so psyched. Hearst might be more of a badass than Swearengen.

If Hearst and Swearengen can't work something out between them, I'm laying a price on Hearst. He can bring in 1000 hired guns tomorrow. How does Al counter that?

In that case, "Here's my counter-offer to your counter-offer: Go f*** yourself!", just won't do.

Richardson cracks me up. I can't believe the "point the antlers at him" didn't work. Too bad, he was pretty quick on the draw with those antlers. "Pray away, moron, for all the harm you'll do."

Speculation time.

If Mr. Mayor didn't tell Hearst about the sheriff and what's-her-name, who did? He had to have some reason for his suspicion.

He had the guy in camp for a long time. And, the business association between Bullock and the woman was pretty well known. It seemed to me that Hearst was just referring the fact that they had a business relationship, and Bullock inferred that he was referring to the screwing relationship.

BTW, there's no way Hearst bests Swearengen.

I just remembered my question about the episode. I didn't exactly follow the point of the murder. At first, I thought Hearst set it up to make sure that sheriff would question Swearengen closely. But later, it seemed that Hearst wanted the matter dropped.

Can anyone clarify?
