Kashi cereal
I know most nutrition sites and books warn against cereal, but this stuff is tasty and very nutritious. The ingredients are pretty much all natural too.
Per serving (1 cup) 140 calories 1g fat (0 saturated) 30g carbs (10g of which are fiber! only 6g sugar) 13g protein |

Re: Kashi cereal
Ya protein in cereal is almost always going to be cheap and/or not-so-great stuff.

Please keep in mind that we would like an unbiased source to have run this study. Note: Most of the soy grown in this nation is fed to cows, sheep, and pigs, which people then eat. Has anyone studied biological magnification? I guess if the estrogenic effects of soy were true, eating beef or animal source proteins would be even worse. |

[/ QUOTE ] As far as I know, the only study that linked soy protein to elevated levels of estrogen was pretty much debunked. There are slight differences in bioavailability between soy and whey protein, and also differences in the amount of amino acids in each one. It seems to me after looking at the evidence whey protein is better but to call soy protein worthless is silly IMO. Besides, have your cereal with some skim milk and you get the advantages of soy based and animal proteins at the same time. |

[/ QUOTE ] y [/ QUOTE ] it turns you into a women... i think it is also not a complete protein...which means its missing some of the amino acids found in animal/whey type proteins... do a google search and you can find lots of papers/articles on soy... |
